How to sharpen Terravantium ( Dendritic Cobalt )
I use a Hard Arkansas Stone or a 1200 grit Diamond wet stone. With a Magic marker ink both sides of the edge bevel. Make a light stroke on the stone and then look at the ink to make sure you're holding the knife at the proper angle. While pressing firmly, stroke the blade 2 or 3 times per side. * VERY IMPORTANT. Do not bring up a burr/wire edge. Stop just short of doing so. The edge will feel a little ruff. That's OK. Try running the blade through a piece of paper. If it snags, run it through...
Terrain 365 in the Banda Sea

What is Terravantium™?
Terravantium™ is our proprietary name of our dendritic cobalt super alloy. Several types of dendritic cobalt exist on the market under various trade names, but overall remains rare in the modern cutlery industry. It is a costly material and requires a different set of processes to produce and finish. One of the distinct properties of Terravantium™ is that we do not roll out our investment cast bar stock or blades, which would separate the dendritic crystalline carbide lattice from the cobalt matrix. Terravantium's microscopic carbide crystals retain their original dendritic structure locked within the cobalt, resulting in longer lasting (edge...
Terrain 365 on a Mission with Project Recover
In March 2025, Project Recover completed its first mission to Palau. This mission had two goals: (1) An underwater investigation and survey of an MIA-associated F4U Corsair crash site in Malakal Harbor for a possible later recovery operation and (2) Terrestrial evaluation of the possible role of environmental DNA (eDNA) and other technologies in a jungle setting as aids in locating unmarked MIA-related grave sites of interest. A close up of Brock Stevens primary EDC for the trip to Palau. Including the Project Recover team mission patch. In the hot, humid jungles and the constant onslaught of saltwater in Palau...
